Making The Most Of Your Pickle Juice

More from that 1948 issue of Modern Woman, this time a tip on saving the vinegar from that sweet pickles jar to use for making pickled beets. (Or, I should think, more pickles?)

  2. Yes you can! They come out a little milder, but still enjoyable. Let them sit for at least 3 days, though.

    Another use for pickle juice is for use in borscht (or other sweet/sour soups). In fact, my grandmother used to make a killer dill pickle soup...
