I was able to get black ink out of a pair of dress khakis by blotting with rubbing alchohol and a washcloth. It did not come out the first time, in fact it took several minutes, but it finally removed the ink; I then washed the khakis per usual.

Are you saying to wash them in a small pot of alcohol? You don't mean in a washing machine do you?
