It was an ironing machine, electric, very hot, you sat at it like you might a sewing machine and passed garments through the cloth covered roller (about 3 or 4 ft long and maybe 8 or 9 inches in diameter) which rolled against a HOT! metal curved piece. It was for big, flat ironing.
